Spring Policy Assembly

America’s Essential Hospitals invites you to our spring Policy Assembly, Feb. 27 – 28, in Washington, D.C.

Our first Policy Assembly during the 118th session of Congress will provide an opportunity for essential hospital leaders to engage with newly elected members of Congress and communicate the importance of key health care policy priorities.

Join us in February to build on your existing relationships, create new ones, and educate lawmakers and their staff about the vital role essential hospitals play in their communities and in fighting the spread of COVID-19.

Members of America’s Essential Hospitals lead the way in providing equitable access to health care services. Help us tell the nation’s lawmakers we need their support now.

Disclaimer

We know that meeting face-to-face with your lawmakers is an important benefit of our biannual Policy Assembly, in addition to our robust programming and networking opportunities with other essential hospital leaders. Although we intend to host 2023 Policy Assembly programming and networking events in person and access to congressional office buildings has returned to pre-COVID requirements, we cannot guarantee all congressional offices will allow in-person meetings.

We encourage participants taking virtual meetings to schedule them the morning of Feb. 28, so you can take these meetings from your hotel room before checking out. Please bring a device on which you can hold your meeting. If you schedule any meetings after 11 am, please contact Julia Grady, legislative affairs associate, at jgrady@essentialhospitals.org, to identify an alternative location to conduct your virtual meetings.

If you are unable to secure an in-person or virtual meeting that fits with your travel schedule, we encourage you to schedule virtual meetings with your congressional delegation soon after you return home from the Policy Assembly programming.
