As the 117th Congress takes office, our event set the foundation for health care policy priorities for essential hospitals and your patients.
Our attendees visited virtually with congressional lawmakers to remind them about the vital role essential hospitals play in fighting the spread of COVID-19 in their communities and urged them to provide additional support.
What to Expect
Like our Postelection Policy Assembly last year, virtual Spring Policy Assembly programming mirrored content from our in-person program.
We had more than 100 attendees join our virtual event including hospital CEOs and other executive staff, government relations professionals, board members, and front-line caregivers who shared how essential hospitals break down barriers to care.
Our virtual spring Policy Assembly featured a keynote from Christen Linke Young, deputy assistant to the president and deputy director at the Domestic Policy Council for Health and Veterans Affairs, who discussed the key health care priorities of the new administration. We also were joined by a second keynote speaker, Anna Palmer, founder and CEO of Punchbowl News, who discussed navigating the new political landscape in Washington.
